“You’ve won a trip to visit the old castles of Europe as well as a luxurious spa,” reads a letter that arrives at the bookstore where Sara works. The only problem is, she doesn’t remember entering any contest! Her heart still stung by old wounds, Sara isn’t particularly interested in claiming her prize, but her friend badgers her into leaving for the Kingdom of Carvania anyway. But when she arrives, he’s waiting for her—Aleks, her old lover who vanished without so much as a word five years ago. He’s the owner of the castle where she’s staying…and the prince of Carvania! With cold eyes, he leads her to a young boy’s sickbed and tells her he’s brought her there so she can be an organ donor for the boy…the son she abandoned years ago!

I thought this was REALLY good. There is a part that I am unhappy about and that is how fast she forgave the hero. He knew he had their son but kept him away from his mom on purpose. The heroine has been frantically searching for her child for years and the hero was evil to do that to her, no matter what he believed. Plus, it was ALL his family doing the vile misunderstandings that caused them to be apart. He should have been made to suffer and grovel for her forgiveness, not just have his mom confess and then get a yes to his marriage proposal. The heroine missed 4 plus years of her son growing up that she can NEVER get back because of the hero and his mom. He should have been made to pay for his actions, especially since he was not all that nice to her when she arrived. I did love how he was when he dropped the mad barrier and was fun and sweet with the heroine. She always knew she still loved the hero and the hero would find himself thinking about how much he loved the heroine but then talk himself into it only being about lust. He did not believe himself and, of course, neither does the reader. I did like the son as well. He seemed like a sweetheart. I do think I would have punished his tormentor a lot more that an institution, no matter the past because he was 4 and helpless to what was being done!!! Overall, a good book!Product details
